A pretty disappointing release week in my opinion.  Thanks for posting these each week though.  I always anxiously await to see your posts so I can see what they are each week while I am at work.

I am hoping that Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars comes out soon but they'll probably wait for a huge dry spell in Wii games to release a classic like that.

Personally, I think I'd be a little angry with the Wii if not for the VC games.  I've probably spent more than half of my time on the Wii playing them.  There are just entirely too many great 360 games out right now for me to be playing the many, many second-rate wii games out there.  Once you get past Zelda, Excite Truck, and Super Paper Mario...there's not much else out there right now that I am willing to shell out $50 for.

360 was pretty much in the same boat a couple of months from launch. You can't expect to get a game this early after launch and think it's gonna have hit after hit coming out right after its release.

I completely agree with everything you said SmashAdams, but there is a big difference between the 360 release and the Wii release...the Wii actually has the 360 and PS3 to compete with.

The Wii for me right now is still nothing more than a novelty, not a real gaming system.  Don't get me wrong, I still love the thing, but I am just a little disappointed thus far, that's all.  I really had hoped we would be seeing a Smash Bros, Mario, or Metroid out by now or atleast in the next couple of months to really stick a knife in Sony and Microsoft.

I am not expecting "hit after hit", just atleast something more than just Zelda and SPM that are going to take me more than 10-12 hours to beat.

Agree, Metorid should have been released by now.

I was kinda bored with my wii for a while (was busy with GoW2) there too untill I wiikeyed up.

Now I'm back in love again and playing:

Kororinpa (which I much prefer over MonkeyBall, strangely addictive!)
Elebits
HeatSeeker

I dont think I would have normally purchased these games but now I've given them ago they are quite fun.

Havent actully got any VC games as I refuse to pay again for games I already have!
