Well, I burned it. But when I Pop it in, it asks me to update. However.. I heard nothing but ghost stories on how this can brick your Wii. But someone said it'll still work. What do I do?!

Don't update with a game from another region. Try to update manually in your Wii Settings. If it says there is no update and the game still claims there is one I wouldn't run it.

all the bricks happened with ntsc discs on a pal system so you should be fine. but im not 100% sure so i would err on the safe side and wait till there is conformation that it will work fine

I tried to update, but it says I have the latest software. I'm a little annoyed because other people have gotten it to work, but I'm very like... I just don't want anything to mess up...

As long as you are connected to wifi and you update it first you should be good.

I checked to see if I have the latest firmware, and I do apparently. But when I pop in Pokémon, it says that it's going to install a new update. So if I continue to install this, (Keep in mind I have a US Wii, a WiiKey, and I patched the game with RegionFrii to be an NTSC-U ISO,) it'll install the update, the game will run, and my Wii will NOT be bricked. I need confirmation on this so I don't f*** everything up. ( excuse the language. )

Aha, I just gave it a whirl and it worked. I'm over-excited. :D

It just says its going to install an update but after you click ok then the disc will check for your firmware first. If you have the latest firmware then there will be a very quick progress bar and then you will be able to play the game.

After being a coward for so long, I tried it last night. Works fine. Thanks alot. I'm very happy.. however, I get random errors. Sometimes, during gameplay, when my girl (character) points at her Pokémon to attack, she'll stay like that. But she still moves, and you still hear sound. But music stops, and the screen goes dark and Japanese characters appear on the screen. I assume it's an error message, but.. I don't know Japanese. Anything I did wrong? Could it just be a bad burn?
