Cannot find .sav files

Hi all

I'm new to the DS One Supercard & have been happily playing the Sims for the past week or so, saving progress as I've gone.  I then played Nintendogs & again saved my progress, however when I went back to the Sims there were no saved games.  Has anyone got any idea why I would have lost this info?

I've started again & saved progress, however none of the .sav files appear to be on the memory card so I assume these are kept in the DS??  Is there any way of saving these files on the micro SD card in the supercard so I can back them up.  For info, both games are .nds format.

Thanks!

bailey, welcome to scdev!

Your SCDS1 should be saving your files.

Make sure your card is formatted to FAT(FAT16).

Are you using the latest 2.0sp1 firmware for the scds1?

Are you playing the the "raw" roms or are you using the patching software? I use the 'raw' way.

I would recommend going down to sims and then press 'X" and make sure you see a save size. You can check to make sure your save size is correct at this site Dualscene Supercard Compatibility list. Nintendogs for the USA should be a 256K setting and the Sims (all versions) for the USA should also be 256k setting. Make sure you choose save button after choosing or it wont save. Also on dualscenes site is says 256Mbit, that is the same as 256K (well at least for this setting).

The save files will show up like this

The .SAV files are not kept in the DS

Thanks for this Kelly

The card WAS formatted to FAT32 so I re-formatted to FAT16 and still can't see the .sav files (but the games are saving somewhere).  I've started another game & saved it to test - this worked fine, although there is no .sav file on the card.

Yes, I'm using the latest 2.0sp1 firmware & the "raw" roms.

The default save size for the sims (2) was 4MB - tried changing this to 256k & still no joy.

I must be missing something!

Thanks again!

Have you ever got that problem fixed? Because I'm having the same problem.
