SC:SD to SD DS:One

I apologize in advance if this is a stupid question.  Wasn't able to find an answer using search.

I just got a SC DS:One.  I already have SC:SD w/SuperKey.  There's a bunch of games and save files on my SD.  Is there a specific way to go about transferring everything from the SD card to the Micro card?  Copying all the .dsq's and .sav's doesn't seem to be doing the trick, and the DS:One doesn't seem to recognize them.

Any help or directions to a walkthrough/instructions is greatly appreciated.

You'll need to get the unpatched .nds roms to work with.  While the SCDS can patch roms, it can't use ones that have already been patched for slot-2 usage.  The save files however should copy over fine, though you may need to use the old DOS 8.3 style of naming.

Thank you for the quick reply.

So instead of copying over the .dsq's, I copy over the unaltered .nds?  Do I still need to run the .nds through the SC software to get the .sav's, or is that all automatic in the DS:One now?

And what is the 8.3 style of naming?  Will the .sav extension not work?

you can rename it with long filenames.. ( i use it ) and it works amazing

but supercard only create saves in this format !

I don't have a SCDS myself, so that clarifies things, thanks Dudu.  Kardde, yes, just copy over the unaltered .nds files, and then use the same .sav files you were using on your slot-2 card.  I believe that for new games, it will create the .sav file automatically for you (though in the shortened 8.3 format), which is what Dudu appears to be saying.

The 8.3 style of naming means you have up to 8 characters, a dot, and then a 3-character file extension, with no spaces or special characters.  For instance, "Mario.sav" remains the same way it is, "Big Ben.sav" becomes "BIGBEN.SAV", and "Super Mario Bros.sav" becomes "SUPERM~1.SAV".  The number after the tilde will increase if you have more than one file that begins with the same 6 characters, with each of these files gaining an additional number.  So for instance if you have "Super Mario Bros.sav" and "Super Monkey Ball.sav" you'll find yourself with "SUPERM~1.SAV" AND "SUPERM~2.SAV" instead.

Excellent!  Rom's are working fine now, and I was able to successfully rename all my .sav's to work with them.

Thanks again for the help, greatly appreciated!
