Hi Folks.

I've been a forum member for a couple of weeks so thought i'd at least start posting. I've only had my SC:DS1 for about a week but so far i've not had any problems.

I'm using a 2GB SanDisk MicroSD and i've had a couple of slowdowns (running x5 but I plan to see how fast I can get it to run without giving me grief) but so far i'm impressed and like the idea that I can do a little more tinkering than I could probably do with the R4DS.

I've not yet upgraded to 2.0 but i'll be giving it a go later this week.

I'll end by saying thanks to everyone for all the useful posts. The best thing a n00b to these forums could do is read previous posts as there's lots of good stuff that'll help with the initial setup.

have you tryed the auto set sd speed test on your card?
you maybe get a better speed than 5 if you try

Hey jmr.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'd already tried autodetecting the speed and it came back as 5 but i'll have a go at gradually setting up the speeds. So far I'm happpy with the performance as only Nanostray has shown any slow down.

my first micro sd card i got for my scdsone was rubbish (Transcend) it only got 2x on the speed test & it a noticable slowdown in AC:WW
but after formatting in fat with 64k clusters & setting speed to 16 it sorted it out

i have a transcend microSD and it is most certainly not rubbish. what model did you get?
