.DSM?

Hi

Two questions.

#1 Is there a program that can play DSM video files on my computer?

#2 Moonshell won't seem to play DSM files, only DPG files. How can I get moonshell to play DSM files?

Question 1 is much more important than question 2.

Yes, I KNOW DPG is a better format than DSM, but I just found out about a site that hosts DSM movies and DOESN'T USE BITTORENT, so I don't have to worry (as much) about being caught.

Yeah, Moonlight just recently released a new version of his DSM player, so you may want to check into that.

Hi

Okay, I'll try dsm play when I get a chance. But what about playback on my PC? If videolan = vlc media player, it doesn't work I tried it before posting. (take that fans of vlc media player that say "It can play absolutely anything")

Hi

Okay, I can't seem to find the download link to dsmplay on the official site. (I hate it when that happens. It's just so simple yet... where is the stupid link? How do I download without a link)

http://mdxonline.dyndns.org/archives/2007/05/dsmplay.shtml appears to be what you're looking for.  I haven't tested it myself though.

VoX

What site is he talking about?

That's the site I found. Is it not the official site.

So, my problem is that, well, I've found the site, but I CAN'T FIND THE DOWNLOAD LINK!!! GRRRRR!!! Does anyone know where the download link is?

Back to my first question, I still need a way to play the files on my PC. There must be a program that can do it!

Hm, you have a point.  That is the official site, so I wonder where the download is.

According to the news post at DCemu, the download link should have been http://home.att.ne.jp/blue/moonlight/20070508_dsmplay02.zip but for some reason it's not working.

You can try using the "Movie Software for GBA" section of http://eng.supercard.cn/soft_sd.htm if you have a non-Rumble cart.

Hi

Isn't that just for GBM/GBS files?

It still doesn't really solve my problem ether. While playing the movies on my nds would be nice, what I really need is a solution for playback on my PC. I find it annoying constantly transferring files from my computer to my nds. (to bad dsftp is so annoyingly complicated) I mean, now I transfer files all the time, but someday, and I think someday quite soon to,
I'll get ALL or NEAR ALL my problems with flashcarts worked out and it will all be DONE WITH!

I want to watch the files on my computer. I find it hard to believe there's no way to do this.

Hi

Hey, look, I FOUND THE DOWNLOAD LINK! Well, you found it anyway... whatever.

I was thinking, perhaps I could use an NDS emulator to emulate dsmplay and therefor get .dpg's to work on my computer. Can anyone confirm this working? I've never used nds emu's in the past, and I'd rather not download and install several diffren't nds emulators just to find that none of them work.

You'd probably have to use FCSR in order to create a .nds file that has the video embedded within it.  I can't test this right now (at school) so I don't know if it will work, and if it doesn't support DLDI then it certainly won't work.
