Don't try to constructively criticize DSOrganize.

Apparently the dev thinks he is too good to even consider another point of view, let alone a constructive criticism of his implementation.

Shame dragonminded. DSO showed some promise, too bad you're so stubborn and big-headed.

Dragonminded seems to have implemented memory functions just like on my scientific calculator. It is completely logical. You and ffm seem to be younger and used to calculators that are used in elementary and high schools that do not employ more complex memory functions. Dragonminded does seem kind of closed-minded, but he also is implementing it correctly, and arguing about it is just stupid. Don't argue about something if you're not sure about it, and don't spam these forums with it,

He is giving you the software for free. What do you expect?
Anyway, the source code is available. Try changing it yourself.

Cmon, its a calculator. As long as it adds/ subtracts /multiply /divides correctly, its fine with me. That guy was arguring over a button that no one even uses lol.

I also agree. This IS homebrew, not a purchased piece of software. He shares his work with everyone and does not get paid for it. Just be glad he is back and is updating it. I like how everyone feels that there opinion is the right one. I get the first post on what the guy thought was wrong, and was told it wasnt going to change. Then he wants to argue with dragonminded. It is his work and if he wants the calculator to subtract when you press add, well he can do that. And as end users, you can choose whether or not to use it.

Devil_Spawn

if you need a calculater, there is always that graphical calculater emulator

I agree with onkelly; Dragonminded did say that DSO was made for his own usage and he was good enough to share it with everyone, it's his program and he's built it the way he wants it to work (even added in a lot of things the people asked for. who really cares so much about the <+ M- on a calc anyways, you cant use a DS for a calculator on a test :P

Hi

Have you read Dragonminded's DSO FAQ? DSO is dragonminded's PERSONAL PROJECT. If it's a personal project, is it any suprise that dragonminded doesn't want suggestions? I think not.

Unlike the other HB devs, Dragonminded codes for his own enjoyment. This is why he left the sceen earlier, "I'm just not enjoying myself as I was..." See?

And there is nothing wrong with coding purely for enjoyment, nothing. It may be a bit annoying when people make a request and get it denied, but there's nothing wrong with the dev saying "No." because it wouldn't be enjoyable for him to impliment.

Some devs are diffrent. But let's respect DM's wishes. Okay?

I've never encountered a calculator that works that way, even scientific calculators; M+ always added the displayed number to the number in memory and M- subtracted it. MR puts the current memory number on the screen, MC clears it, and I've seen calculators with an M-In that does what DM's M+ button does.
Manually signing your posts is dumb.

Firmware versioning: Get a Passcard 3, a SuperKey, or a slot-1 flashkit. Then it doesn't matter which firmware you have.

Okay, but if he says no, let it be.

Meh, sounds like it's really a meaningless feature to whine about.
