This is my first time using the supercard ds1 and I think I may have received a faulty one.

I have 2 Kingston 1gb micro sd cards (sd-co1g) that i've tried using. With the first it constantly freezes, whether it be in the browser menu or in game if i'm lucky enough to get that far. Most of the time I get an error "no find sd card" and I keep retrying until it loads. When I run the test it comes up as

Test flash
flash id ok!
flash ok!

Test Psram
psram ok!

Test sd card
sd ok! no find test file

I have the same problem with both sd cards so I was figuring they wouldn't be the problem.

Dudu.exe

It seens a very poor micro sd to mee!

try run the sd speed test!

Choke

They come up at 30x when I use the auto speed. I thought the Japanese made Kingston cards were supposed to be some of the better sd cards to use with this.

Dudu.exe

and it is.. maybe its a defective, try another Microsd!

Choke, welcome to SCDEV!

I know the SCDS1 is supposed to be FAT32 compatible, but try reformatting your microSD to FAT(FAT16) and then make sure you are using the latest SC OS 2.0 sp1.

Where did you purchase your SCDS1 card from?

Choke

Thanks.

I have it formatted to fat 16, I bought it from jandaman.com

Try selecting "AUTO Set SD Speed" from the SCDS1 Option menu. If your microSD is too slow then SCDS1 should display . . .

It is too slow!
SC DS will not support it!
Press 'B' key it will return.

If that happens then it is recommended you use the SCDS1 patcher software to get ~99% compatibility.
(SCDS1 supports 100% compatibility without patching using high speed microSD.)
