I finally ran into this problem with my SCCF. What worked for me was to change the name of the .dsq file slightly and then rename the .sav to match. Weird glitch.

Allright, now we know how to start a new game, but how can i do a backup of my save files? Where is the save game data?

Manually signing your posts is dumb.

Firmware versioning: Get a Passcard 3, a SuperKey, or a slot-1 flashkit. Then it doesn't matter which firmware you have.

i just save and then run it thru the editor, if the editor doesnt show it, load the game, save again, restart ds, and then turn it off again (so it says "Saved pokemon.sav) and try again, after like 2 tries it usually works.. same deal when i'm trying to input a save, run the game with new save, if it doesnt show (i usually change the play clock by a minute or something so i can tell earlier) then i'll save again overtop of it, turn off, turn on, turn off, put the new save again and try again, usually works on the 2nd try if not the first and its faster than deleting the sav

you didnt happen to have it stored as pokémon did you? the supercard does funny things with odd characters

Happens to me on my CF too.

Pretty bizarre, but it doesn't seem to really affect anything negatively.
If each mistake being made is a new one, then progress is being made.

maybe if the save file is too small 256k, then it just saves to the card directly ???  try using a 512k save file or bigger
Yes I'm mad

Would setting the save to R4 work on a supercard 2, miniSD? Also, would running a save through the save patcher work for other games like Kirby Sqeak Squad?

EDIT: How should you format a game name called                              1015 - Pokemon Diamond (U)(Legacy).nds.dsq for a save?
