is there a program like this that can be used for gba games? to back up the saves of them and to put a different save file on it? i want to put my vba sav of leaf green on my actual cart but dont know if i can with a SCSD or M3 Simply

As far as I know, there is no DS-side program that manages GBA save files.  There is the GBA program cart_save which can be downloaded from http://chishm.drunkencoders.com but as I explained in http://scdev.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=77320 a slot-2 Supercard will reboot the entire DS upon reinsertion, so this program is mostly only useful for users of the M3 products and perhaps G6 as well.

is it SendSave? how exactly do i use it?

No, but it's on the SendSave page - http://chishm.drunkencoders.com/SendSave/index.html#cart_save - near the bottom of the page.

You load it up, it asks you which action you wish to take, you swap to the GBA game and let the tool back up the save, swap back to the SCSD and save it to a *.sav file on your card.  The major issue is that the Supercard resets the DS upon reinsertion, making it nearly impossible to use this utility with one.  You can probably use it to restore save files to official carts, but backing them up is very difficult.

Uhhh, hey Dan, I used cart_save on my DS a couple weeks ago and it did not reset it (it reset on my GBA though). Then again, it may be due to the fact that my DS has been flashed.

my ds is also flashed and it restarted mine, i just put the supercard in slowly the second time and it worked
