Issues with NDS Saves and SD supercard

I got my supercard today.  I was able to put FlashMe on my DS and get everything setup fine.  I flashed the newest firmware to my card and also downloaded the latest software.

I know there are issues with the new supercard firmware and flashme in that some say it still requires a passme.  I found that if I hold XYAB on startup it will act like there is a passme I can just put a DS game into the slot.

Now I got roms loaded fine, but the problem I run into is with the realtime save.  I really want to use this feature and save on the SD card so I dont overwrite my DS cart that I have inserted.

I followed all the tutorials and read the forums for over an hour but still cant get it to work right.

Here is what I do for example:
1.) Load rom into the supercard software patcher
2.) Double click and make sure saver patch and rom position patch are both SD
3.) Check options and make sure Saver Patch, Enable Restart, and Enable Real Time Save are checked
4.) Output and put both files on my DS
5.) Boot with no passme holding ABXY or boot with passme and no ABXY--both give same results
6.) Select the rom file from the menu

This is where it gets weird.  The roms load and work fine (except for warioware but I guess there are issues with an ipl patch or something).  However none of the built in patch functions are working.  The saves are definatly not working.  I also read that LR Star select are supposed to kick back out to the rom menu but this is not working.

I am not sure where I am going wrong, I have been trying to read all the forums and faqs but as far as I can tell I have done everything they suggest.  Not really sure what the problem is.  Any help is GREATLY appreciated.  I am not really sure what to do from here out I think I have tried almost everything.

It sounds like you have done everything right. All of the " LR Start Select " stuff is for GBA only - it doesn't work in DS mode.  What games are you testing?

Real time save is GBA only, as are all those various button combinations.

You can however save a DS game as you normally would, and it'll save to the SD/CF card. You just need to right click the rom in the patcher and select the second option on both of them. This will load the game fast and make all DS saves to the SD/CF card instead of the DS game in the slot.

Hmm I guess that is why it is not working.  I thought I read on a few different places that real time save worked for DS.  I just feel stupid now heh, oh well thanks anyway :P
