I managed to get cheats working on my upgraded Supercard.

I noticed a cheat- 'play as Shy Guy' - in the cheats for Mario Kart DS by default. After testing it on single player, just for laughs, I thought it might be interesting to try it on Wi-Fi.  :lol:

After taking AGES to find people to play (result of cheats?), I finally got four people. While the track was loading, I held down select...

...wait. I was Dry-Bones. Not Shy Guy. I looked at my fellow racers. I'd turned some poor, defenceless guy named 'Guilliaume' into a Shy-Guy!  :lol:

If you press and let go of select at different times whilst the race is loading, you can do different things. I turned this guy into Donkey Kong (in his emblem and name), but then his racer was Shy-Guy. Weird. I think the way it works is by turning whoever is player one into Shy Guy, and I wasn't player one!

I found it quite hilarious. I do not condone cheating in any way, I was just experimenting.

That's weird I didn't think that you could use the cheats on Wi-Fi! I gotta try this out!

Afraid so, never played tetris against someone getting consistent tetris' ?

I played wifi with the shyguy cheat enabled and I was shyguy if I held select when choosing a course and was donkey kong when I didnt even though my initial character selection was Toad

LOL.. a couple of gooduns i tried were

150cc wifi cheat    (but it plays like 1500cc!!!!)   lap poor suckers twice in a 3 lap race
the jump/fly cheat... great for short cuts  also works on wifi
