Does anyone have any experience of these with VC games?

I read somewhere that they don't work too well (if at all). My son was asking about getting VC games, but I have already bought a couple of cheap controllers (4gamers) which work fine with the GC games and don't fancy spending more money.

Im confused? The title of the thread is 3rd Party GC controllers but your post is about VC games? What exactly is your question?

I think he wants to know if a third party GC controller would work with a VC game.

I think they should roughly work though I'm not sure of the response times.  I've had experience with 3rd party controllers before where there is a subtle lag time that spells the difference on some games.

You should try some basic VC games first like NES ones.  That way, if your GC controller does not work, you can still use the Wii remote to play them.

The Wii Classic Controller is great! Only GC controller I will touch is the Wavebird.

Yes, these controllers work fine for Gamecube games, but there is a problem (so I have read) with VC games.

Another thread said that the official controllers (and apparently MadCatz) are fine for the VC games but others aren't.
