I've requested this a couple of times on official forum, but haven't gotten any response.   Anyone else think it would be nice if sc/scds would look in a folder for saves, and maybe even save them named as the rom number like it does walkthru/cheats.  I get so tired of having all the saves floating around the root directory of my cards, and having to deal with changing their names if I rename the rom.

Nobody thinks it would be better to have the saves stored somewhere other than the root directory, and named something other than the zip?

For the folder, yes, it could perhaps be a good idea...
But for the names, I disagree... I don't know by heart the rom numbers, so I prefer that the save has the same name as the rom ;-)
(It's handier when I make backups on the pc...)

(Sorry for my English...)

Yes same here but it would involve editing the SC DS One firmware and until alot of people want it you'll have to do it your self and if you want some help PM me

Same here from experience its common sense to make folders for each game and save and now cheat files due to the limitations of number of files in the ROOT folder of a FAT file system (with fat structure you are limited to how many files you can have in the root or main directory of a fat 16 formatted mem card)

I do not create a folder for each game..

i creat one for Homebrews, One for Games, one for Media .. etcs..

i do not use cheat.. and for that there is a folder in scshell!

I seem to have a lot of trouble with 8 char file names getting out of sync and the game being named something like game-n~1.nds, and save as game-n~2.sav and the supercard not being able to find it.   It would seem to solve a lot of that if they were just named named rom number, and even have a table that listed alternative rom numbers, so games from different regions could share the common save file.
