im going to england i wanted to know if i need a power converter or just an adapter. is the powersource dual wattage? thanks

usa runs on 110v, uk is 240v.

the adapter should say what input it takes, if it doesn't mention 240v then you will need a step down converter. i've got a us/japan adapter and it only supports 110v, however nintendo may have produced different versions. certainly some 3rd party adapters are 100v-240v.

if you want to get a uk charger in the high street, they're about £7 or £10 for an official one.

check out http://supercard.tk/
they have a nds lite adapter form 85v to 265v with auto power switching. just click on video games, then nds and you will find it on the first page.

You could do it with a UK DS adapter (charger), because all DS consoles are the same input voltage - only the charger differs.

As I said, just get a UK adapter for your DS lite, because it will still be giving the DS the correct voltage (about 5v).
