Hey, i was wondering if the old games you download off the wii via wifi, are actually real old roms like .nes or .snes. That would be cool cause then you tranfer them to a slot 2 device.

Well it is a no, but that does bring up an interesting idea. Wonder why Nintendo doesn't make the Retro games on the VC playable on the DS also. Would be bad ass if they would let us transfer them to the DS and play them from there also.

That's an interesting point.  Nintendo, with full access to SNES specs and source code could conceivably make a decent SNES emulator on the DS.

WITH SPECIAL CHIPS??? I'm not convinced it's possible. And since Nintendo would be selling these games, the emulator would have to emulate the games perfectly, else the costomers might get upset that they payed $$ for a buggy game when it's really the emulator that's buggy.
