Wii bricker

Heard about this at MaxConsole, so it must be true.  Some team has come up with a Wii ISO (disc image) patcher which can be applied to a downloaded, eh, legally backed-up, disc image.  The prupose, to prevent a game from bricking your Wii.

I haven't seen anything here about a Wii bricker... does this exist?

DeVS

It's to remove the updates from the disc so that if you try and play a pal game like Mario Strikers on your NTSC Wii it won't apply a PAL update to your NTSC machine.

Ohh.  So it's not really an intentional bricker, you're perfectly safe as long as you use NTSC games on NTSC machines?

DeVS

Yes that all I use. It's hard to resist the temptation to snag a Pal version of game especially like Mario Strikers which doesn't come out for NTSC till about a month after the Pal version, but better safe then sorry I think.

I've been playing Mario Strikers on my NTSC-U Wii since it came out. No problems. Just make sure you do a system update via wifi before you first load the game.
