I don't play it, I have 4 wii games and about 6 gamecube games and a VC game but its sitting gathering dust. I have not used it for over a month.

Why keep it, I know I could use the money.......

Hi

Well, if you're sure you're going to sell it, sell it soon. Right now, you can probably sell your wii for over twice the price you payed on E-bay, and still well over the price you payed in the scdev marketplace. But who knows how long that will last.

Hi:
Unfortunately, the WiiBay market isn't quite what it was 6 months ago.  The Wii console by itself (New w/ Wii Sports) goes for about $300 now.  After you consider ebay and paypal fees and the fact that you paid tax on the console when you first bought it (if you bought it in store)...you're not going to make any money, if you do, it'll be no more than $10.  On top of that, the console is used so it probably won't even go for $300.

fattybumbum:

My Wii hasn't even been hooked up in about a month...there's really nothing out there I feel the need to be playing currently.

Unless you really need the money, I'd just say hold on to it and wait for some good games to come out.  Res Evil 4 is only a week and a half away and Metroid Prime is coming out in August (if I remember right).  Eventually, the Wii will be worth owning again.

The Xbox 360 had the same problem about 6-8 months into its life...there are just no games that have come out recently that are really worth buying.  Now the 360 is (arguably) the best console to own out there right now.  Eventually, the Wii will come around and you may find yourself sorry if you decide to get rid of it.

Wow, I finally found one a week ago, and someone is actually wanting to sell their's.

I'm in love with this console. I think the controls are one of the best ideas ever thought up. I thought they were going to suck, and not very accurate. But I was wrong. Definitely my favorite console out of all that I know right now.

Since I just got the console, I have a few games to play that will take up my time right now. But like sparky mentioned, RE4 and Corruption will be coming out. And both are going to be excellent.

Seriously, I never, ever, sell a console or handheld. I still have everyone that I've bought since the eighties. And I know that I would regret it if I ever did sell one. So I really hope you don't regret it. Think about it long and hard.

But if you do decide to sell it, let us know. I might want to take it off your hands for you. I'll probably pick it up for my girl.

I got my Wii on launch day and have yet to get tired of it. My XboX 360 gets some time too, but not as much as my Wii. Wii = Greatest machine ever built!

That being said you wont have a problem selling it im sure, but as stated you most likely will only recover the original cost of the machine and no extra cash.

I would definitely hold on to it for now unless you want to wait until they release more colours or something.

You have Mario Strikers, Metroid, Mario and Super Smash Brothers all coming out this year as well as a few other 3rd party titles like disaster day of crisis. Not to mention games planned for next year like mario kart.

Hi

Nobody here is excited about super mario galexy?

It looks like the best game ever from the vids! It could just be good advertising I suppose... but I don't think so. It looks like a bigger masterpeace than maybe even the wii itself!

Well everyone is excited for it, but no one truly believes it's coming any time soon, regardless of what Nintendo says.

Agree. Dont think we will see it till 2008.

fattybumbum,
I know exactly where you are coming from, I bought my wii on launch day and at this point. I own 3 games. I beat 2 the first time through and havent played them since.
The only game I play every now and then is Wii sports, and thats usually when my 10 year old neice comes over because she doesnt like 1 player games.

Aside from streaming some anime from time to time, and reading the news, I dont use my wii hardly at all. My wife never touches the thing.

Even still, I wouldnt recommend selling it just yet. All systems take a year or 2 to get into full swing as far as game choice.
