Is there any reason why with ROM location and save location both set to CF the SC 2.42 software would generate a .sav file for some ROMs and not others?  I got a .sav for Pac-Pix but not for Mr. Driller.  Can a GBA .sav file be used for when the .sav is not generated using the QPC info I'm reading about?

you have to select the saver to CF/SD on DS propriets on patcher!

As I said, I did that for both of these ROMs with different results for each.

Steve welcome to the site, glad to have you. I believe it is the roms you have. I just tested the EU and US version of Mr. Driller and they both produced a .sav file.
