for the super card 1 do you have to use the patching supercard program that you have to use for the slot 2 series or can you just download the game and put it on the sd card

You can play clean nds roms on the supercard 1.

This is a SuperCard DS software(Super Mode need to use), you do not need to use it at standard mode. But if you use the software, SuperCard DS can support more powerful functions, such as RESET, cheat code, infinity save space etc (can support save more than 4m in the feature).

i have to use the super mode patcher and it works fine.

So...if you want Soft Reset, Cheats, and other functions, you do in fact have to patch the rom before throwing it on the cart? I always thought you could enable these options on the fly in the carts menu.

Supercard OS 2.0 can patch rom on the fly with theses setting.. you really do not need to use the patcher!

Press L+X to pull up the on-the-fly patching menu.

NOTE: You must copy clean ROMs to you rmemory card.
