why would I need a router for ds to ds !?

and besides I have a router but its wired not wifi :(

The problem is that the DS-to-DS communication protocol has not been figured out yet.  Until it is, a wireless router will be necessary for any sort of multiplayer in DS homebrew.

yeah kinda figured that reading around  :(

will be one hell of a homebrew game when they finally do figure DS to DS wifi :D

id rather not use the extra ram.. even though i own a supercard.. maybe for one player only.. but not for multiplayer as id love to host death matches to people with DS's that do not have flashcards.

That's not quite the issue Lazureus we are talking about. Direct DS-to-DS multiplayer is currently a no go via homebrew means. What you are talking about is using download play for a non-flashed DS to play. Unless another download play exploit is discovered (not likely) the only way to get around it would be to crack the encryption key which could mean legal repurcussions if done. Of course, if any homebrew does have download play support, you'll have to flash your friend's DS to send it to them.
