Having recently reported here on consolerescues.co.uk (also appearing as Nintendoconsoles.co.uk), it appears that they are back in another form as

webexclusivebundles.co.uk

The prices/deals are the same as before, the company (Yexter Computers Ltd) does not appear on Companies House list and the website was only registered on 11th July.

Sadly, I can only e-mail them if I register so I can't upset them again.

I'll find a decent price for that new DS lite somewhere!

go to America, even at retail price, the DS Lite is less than 75% of what it costs here in the UK!

you can say the taxman is the real scammer, grr...

Unfortunately, my wife's not going until after my son's birthday.....

And why can't we get any decent colours in the UK?.........or Mario sweatshirts?

What's the explanation behind that?  Taxes or exchange rate or just inflated prices?

all the above. it actually gets worse considering people also have their income(s) taxed in the first place.

Income tax is a horrible, horrible thing.

It keeps the country going, I appreciate all the hospitals and schools but I'd prefer the goverment to improve their spending habits and management over putting up taxes.

It's just stupid, there's even inheritance tax. When you die, the money going to friends/family goes through the taxman

They get you coming and going.  Calling it double-dipping would be an understatement.

Well, this topic seems to have strayed a bit......

Anyway, the sweatshirt would be for a 10 year old boy, not me, so I think it would be acceptable except for the fact that he looks, and is the size of, a 14-15 year old, so it may not be too good an idea.

As for the price of things here in the UK, it used to be that everything used to be the same in pounds as it was in dollars (including the 17.5% tax, with an exchange rate of about 1.6). At the moment the exchange rate is such that everything in the US is even that much cheaper.

So why is petrol so expensive given the exchange rate? It seems that since the Tesco additive fiasco people have just increased the price and stuck with it!

That's my rant for today.

mudlouse1

I think the true cost of petrol is around the 40p-50p mark and the rest is literally duty and tax (the same with cigarettes). People were finally starting to complain when prices hit the £1 mark and the government wanted to introduce road charging as an alternative. Of course, it would never be an "alternative" because they'd never lower the duty so much that they reduce their influx of money.

That tesco crap threw me right off, my local one was listed as affected and I drove for those 2 weeks thinking my car would suddennly die.

Sorry, I don't know.  I am only 15, but is there really?  I can't imagine anybody even trying to take away money from a will.  That seems really dirty, and I'll just bury my will on a 4ft by 4ft land, and give that to somebody in my will   :P
