According to Eurasia they have received the first Wiikey update and are testing it out as we speak. Personally I wont believe it until it is in my hands as the Wiikey team have proven themselves liars time after time when it comes to this update. Also the only feature being discussed is the GC audio fix. If the GC audio fix is the only new feature people will be even more pissed then they would be if no update ever came out,lol.  According to Wiikey the audio fix has been finished for MONTHS so if thats all they release months later they will look even bigger a$$holes (if thats even possible).

We have received WiiKey Update RC1 and are currently testing it on a D2A console. Regarding the GameCube audio fix feature we have checked Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem, The Naruto Games so far and they work fine. Thanks goes to Schweino for pointing out problem titles. More tests and screenshots to follow, stay tuned...

Eurasia posted some screens of the WiiKey update RC they are testing a couple of days back.

It does seem that there is at least some form of update, though Eurasia is stressing this will only most likely address the GC audio fix and nothing else.

Wiikey Firmware 1.6 RC1 Testing

The Wiikey Team has provided WiiNewz with the RC1 update firmware for testing. Initial findings are that the GameCube audiofix functions perfectly. Further testing will be done in the next few days.

Ya let me save people the  trouble of going through the 3 page thread. The ONLY changes are that the GameCube audio fix has been added and now dual layer dvd's work. Also so far this update only works on DMS/D2A consoles and they are still working on a D2B fix. I wish they would release the fix that that have for the DMS/D2A but it would not surprise me one bit if were sitting here in a month still waiting for the fix due to them "still working" on the D2B fix.

I'm not very sure what is different between the DMS/D2A and the D2B ones,  Is the D2B ones the anti-modchip hardware revisions?

No the D2B is modable. It is just a different revision of the dvd drive chip.

When the first modchips came out it was coincidentally about the time the D2B revision came out. Everyone panicked. Some chips required new wiring diagrams and I think some needed new chips. But now a D2B is just as moddable as an original. It's sort of like a PS2 motherboard revision.

So now all the Wiikey guys need to do is add support for D2B which means it will only be another 6 months.

Rumor is the beta update has been leaked out on the net. Not surprised if it is true. If anyone runs across it let me know and I will do the same. I wont post it here on the forums but if someone happens to rapidshare let us know and it can be passed around via pm and email.

Im surprised the update has not been leaked sooner with all the enemies they have made.

I haven't seen any threads discussing the leak though I would expect these leaks to go through IRC instead of rapidshare.

I don't think it is real. Not 1 person I have seen is able to actually say they have it, everyone has just "heard" it's been leaked. Sounds like a false alarm to me.
