So ive heard that like the EZ 3 in 1 slot 2 cart can help add ram for a slot 1 card running opera browser or even speeding up the picodrive emulator. I was wondering how do you take advantage of this if you have an m3 lite and wanna speed up picodrive? Does it happen automatically or do you have to put picodrive in slot 2 rather than slot 1?

Having more RAM doesn't speed up a system if it's not using swap, which the DS can't because it doesn't have an MMU.  What it allows picodrive (hopefully) to do is support Genesis roms larger than 3MB, as the DS only has 4MB to start with.

Right, the extra RAM only increases the file size of the games, not the emulation speed.  If you're looking for fullspeed Genesis emulation, check out jEnesisDS.  Its hardware renderer can usually attain full speed, though it can create graphics glitches.  It also comes in a software renderer version that is slower but lets you set the frameskip to bring it back up to full speed.
