1. Ok, I own a Wii and a regular SDTV (480i). And I want to save up for a PS3, but would it be worth it if I get a PS3 but only have a SDTV? Would i still be able to see a graphical boost from playing the Wii/PS2/XBOX?

2. Can you put movies on the PS3 like you can on PSP for free?

3. Is the regular Component Cables for the PS3 like the Wii has?

4. What all can you put on the PS3's internal memory?

Thank you

1: You wont see the most the PS3 can put out on a non hdtv but it does look better then a regular XboX 1 or PS2. You will see a great improvement but not the best you could see.

2: Not sure.

3: regular componet cables like Wii

4: Music, and you can install linux on it.

Thanks for the quick and good answers! But what is Linux?

Linux is an open source operating system like Windows.

1. Yes. The graphics won't be as sharp, but their still gorgeous none the less.

2. Yes. I believe there is a way to stream movies now. I'm not using my ps3 as a media center so I'm not sure what all is involved in this process. Your best bet would be the avs forum for home media info.

3.There is an optional component cable, the cables that come with a wii/ps3 is composite. Component and HDMI is for HDTV's.

4. You can put ps1/ps2/ps3 saves. You might be thinking about the hard drive. You can put anything you want (pictures, movies, mp3's, porn, etc), minus programs.  The ps3 has a built in internet browser (useless to me) but it is nice for if I primarily used it as a media center. You could install yellow dog linux if you want to make the ps3 like a pc. The problem I have with this is that it's new and is vastly inferior to windows or mac's os even.
