Hey there!

I recently decided to buy myself an EZflash 3 in 1 expansion pack to go with my Supercard DS:one in order to play game boy advance roms on my DS lite. Trouble is I cannot seem to get the Roms to work.

I have inserted the EZ flash pack and tried to load the .gba file to the EZflash pack in slot 2 and still the screen freezes on the opening Game Boy screen. is there any other software i need to install to my supercard DS:one or am i just doing the wrong thing completely?

Please help!!!  :o

You'll probably need to use one of the homebrew loaders to flash GBA games to it from your SCDS.  Check the EZ-Flash forums (in the V-talk section) for the stickied topics on the tools by cory1492 and Rudolph.  You might need to manually patch the roms rather than using the loader though, I'm not entirely sure.

Hi,

The thread to check out is here:
http://www.scdev.org/forum/index.php?topic=10287.0

I'll summarise for you,

you can't load the roms straight from the supercard menu, that is for supercard slot2 only.

Patch your GBA roms with the EZ-IV software or the GBATA applications eeprom save patch if necessary (google it!) the EZ-IV tool works with multiple roms  :)

To use the rumble functions or the cart as an opera ram pack you need Corey's tool, should be in other post or here:

EZ 3in1 rumble patcher
http://ezflash.sosuke.com/viewtopic.php?t=4767&start=30

note that you'll need to get the execstub.bin from the DSOrganise website for SCDSOne to allow the application to reset, rumble works great (try Elite Beat Agents  :D) and the ram is speedy in opera.

To load Roms you have 2 choices, Rudolphs patcher (see 1st link) or Corey's GBA Loader (1st link or below)

The card has 2 types of Ram, 16Mbyte/128Mbit PSRam, this is lost when powered off but is quicker to load roms into, rudolphs has the option to use this - corey did do a proof of concept app  - note rudolphs is good but if you dont remember to backup your save it will get wiped (a button on his app does this).

The other type of ram is NOR flash, this is 32Mbyte/256mbit - large enough for the biggest GBA games out - this is not lost at power off and if you flash it you can put the card in a normal GBA to play it (if you have the full size one) and the card will work for GBA Link on DS games (corey has some patch for pokemon saves) - Corey or Rudolphs applications can use this.

I prefer corey's as when you load another game it automatically backs up your current save and loads the new one !

grab it here:

GBALdr - 3in1 GBA loader [0.1final]
http://ezflash.sosuke.com/about4749-0-asc-165.html

The good news is corey has said he'll develop this further when he has time, both apps are good but Corey's is more idiot proof (I always forget to backup my saves!).

I'm sure someone else could do a better guide, anyhow PM me if you get stuck

It's an excellent piece of kit for the price, please admins can you put a sticky to this on the Other - Flash Carts board, and perhaps a link in here as lots of people are asking how to do this.

ok i'm still kind of unclear about getting the rumble to work :s i have the gba games and opera workin fine, its just im not sure exactly where to get the put the execstub.bin file, and what is the exact filename of the EZ 3in 1 rumble patcher??

put execstub.bin (the one for your DSOne - seperate download on DS Organize site)  into root of memory card or inside the appropriate folder in ds organize.

is the app, launch it, select rumble speed and DS will reboot, then launch a game supporting rumble - that's it
