As far as I know, you can flash your DS with flashme, if you have: Nintendo DS, Supercard (with SD card), screwdriver, conductive object like a bent paperclip, etc... and PassMe/superkey device.

Does someone know, it is possible to flash your DS with a slot1 flashcard (borrowed DS Linker card), instead of PassMe type device?

You will still need a SLOT 2 card anyow to make use of FLASHED DS... as far as I know thats what the flash is for it negates the need to use a SLOT 1 type passme card to boot SLOT 2 cards so you can use the SLOT 2 card to run SLOT 1 software from SLOT 2  :)

If that makes sense !?

It can also remove the health and saftey warning nintendo splash screen when you boot the ds and finally can prevent the BRICKME code running and ruining your DS altho that usually only happens if you use homebrew and havent got a clue where it (the homebrew) came from or didnt get it from a reliable source :)

What is your reasoning for FLASHING? if its purely for using a SLOT 2 CARD then its maby easier and cheaper to just go buy a SLOT 1 CARD such as an R4 or an M3 simply :)  R4 being the cheaper is an AWSOME CARD and has 100% compatibility and 100% download play now ... with M3simply hot on its heels too as R4 is basically the same as M3simply but cheaper  :)

ok edit just looked back through your posts and you have a SC SD .. in that case yes you can use a SLOT 1 CARD as a PASSME /PASSTHROUGH DEVICE to boot the FLASHME code from the slot 2 card  ;)

Hm, when I tried to run flashme.nds from SC, it didn`t even appeared. Yes, I did sloted in DS Linker.

HOWEVER, I ran flashme.nds from borrowed DS Linker card and it loaded correctly (confirmation screen appeared - "press X B X B" etc.... ) . Can I flash my DS Classic from a Slot1 card?

I don't see why you couldn't do it from a Slot-1 device.

Also, there's the added bonus of a flashed DS being able to boot code via download play. If you are running commercial game images from your flashcart, then a flashed DS can receive download play games and demos (with a few exceptions. CURSE YOU PUZZLE BOBBLE!). Many games can be downloaded to an unflashed DS, but some just won't work unless it's flashed (Mario Kart anyone?)

K, in that case, I just flash my DS from DS Linker.

I just wanted to know, because i couldn`t find it.

i think for the r4/m3 simply, the latest firmware fixed the download play issue.

yes thats correct but use NDSTOKYO TRIM to trim roms as most others break the download play code :(
