I have a real copy of Pokemon pearl and i was wondering, if just put emerald or one of the gba pokemon games will i be able to send pokemon from the roms to pearl or no?

kkan

if its a real emerald gba game or you have real pokemon gba games then YES you should be able to do the link between the cards with no bother at all  :)

Heffer101

sorry i just re-read my post and it wasn't what i wanted to say. If i put a rom of emerald or something on my supercard mini-sd will pearl recognize it? or no?

Haoie

No, I don't think so, since if it's a real D/P cart, then obviously it couldn't recognise the SC ROM of Emerald.

Experts, correct me if I'm wrong.
If each mistake being made is a new one, then progress is being made.

the supercard plays gba games by loading the rom into its RAM and then booting as if it was a gba cart.... the game is not loaded into the ram by the official cart, therefore it will not be there to be recognised

Heffer101

but what if i boot up the supercard and start pokemon (any gba version) turn it off and then start pearl and get the pokemon will that work? On a side note, when i try and re-boot the games like that, it doesn't work...i just get a white screen. Should i re-patch the roms and then try or does it not work?

dantheman

No, that won't work.  Once power is lost, the contents of the RAM are cleared.

Devil_Spawn

is it possible for him to backup his pokemon save, load the pokemon rom onto his supercard, and then transfer the roms using the gba union option

dantheman

From what I've heard, that's only possible when using a Supercard DS, but I haven't investigated it enough to state that for certain.

Heffer101

is there any way i could achieve this with a different flash card?
