Hi,

playing with a nds yummy (at least for me) rom , I have came across some .vx files, they are video files, but  dunno if they can be readed , or encoded with any common software.
I've read that Quicktime pro could do this job but im not sure about this..
If anyone does know anything about .vx files please let me know..

.vx files are for the ZUNE PLAYER  :)

theres a few commercial programs to convert .vx video to avi format such as Aevx Video Suite For Zune but not freeware  :(

You could also try SUPER ENCODER freeware

get it here :)

password for the winrar file is  kkan :)

Hi

Making an off-topic post again I know, but Why do people bother putting files on the intenet, giving them a password, and then just giving out the password. Why not just forget about the password. It's not THAT annoying, but what are the advantages?

REASON ... some servers/file hosts/emails can read files/file descriptions within an unprotected archive and delete anything they deem suspect (even if its legit and freeware :( ) ....  and with gmail attachments if you do not protect the archive with a password it will simply refuse to even email an executable file even tho its been archived as it deems all exe files as a possible way of spreading a virii/trojan etc :(

so now you know! ;D

im sure all that true
but would it not have been easier just to link to the official site SUPER© then you can guarantee your getting the latest version with no spyware or Trojans etc

I would never host anything I wouldnt use myself ;D.. and have recommended its use to literally HUNDREDS of mobile phone users as a way of converting .flv files to mp4 or 3gp mobile videos ;D

.. my hosted file being an older version no longer available from erightsoft loads of users found when at least using for mobile use was buggy and time consuming setting the correct settings for their mobile was a nightmare :(

The older version has a simpler interface with the dimensions with easy access on the first screen ;)

not forcing the older version of SUPER on anyone its down to them to choose, I just had the link handy already .. On the mobile forum where I moderate its in my signature ;)

There's nothing I hate more than when a company makes a stupid video codec, I guess they do it to buy there software to transcode to it.

that and to stop videos encoded with their software being used on other devices much like apples DRM protection :(

Digital Rights Mangement is the biggest load of crap I've ever heard, While companys are trying to stop this kind of thing they could could endorse it and make millions, what I mean is that If Nintendo or Sony sold there consoles with and let you make your own software and download free software for it then I'm sure more people would buy it and even though if some one made an Backup loader then they money from the consoles would make up for it and more.

Hi

Well, I never thought of it as DRM but, yeah, I've never understood why game companies don't support homebrew. I mean, here is how they SHOULD see it.

Homebrew Devs = Volunteer developers
Volunteer developers = I don't have to pay them
I don't have to pay them = Money

And I thought that business men wanted money money and nothing else.  :o
