For some reason, my ds doesn't work with any homebrew wifi.  NDSmail, treasures_of_gaia_v0.2, DSOrganize browser, ect don't work at all.
What are the possible causes? Non homebrew wifi work fine.

In the early stages of my ds lite's "life" homebrew wifi worked fine.  If I am not mistaken, homebrew wifi stopped working after I installed retawq browser for linux.   (Maybe retawq has nothing to do with this problem at all) Anyways, I reformatted the microSD card afterwards, but that didn't seem to do any good.

If of any use, my equipment is listed in my signature below.  Also, I bought my ds lite in December 2006.

Thanks experts

I'm no wifi expert, but I don't think the retawq browser could do anything to your DS that a power cycle wouldn't resolve.  Homebrew uses Connection 1 settings in DS wifi configuration, so make sure they are correct. Are you using a WiFi AP or a USB wifi adaptor?  If you have a wifi router then make sure NAT is working. Try disabling Windows and router firewalls as a test. Try disabling WEP, and use MAC filtering instead. You might be able to connect to the Nintendo network but not to other servers.

My Connection 1 settings in DS wifi (in MKDS, Tetris DS) are working fine, with an excellent connection.  I can play MKDS and Tetris DS online without a problem.

I am not using a USB adapter to connect.   I am attempting to connect to the wireless signals my home router sends out.  As of now, I am typing on a computer that is using a wifi pci card to connect wirelessly.

How do I check if NAT is working?  I know how to disable Windows firewall, but how do I disable my router firewall/WEP? (I didn't set up my router config) Sorry for the hassle.

Thanks bitblt, big up for you.

No hassle. :) Most routers for home use have a web interface that lets you configure router settings. So if your PC has an IP address of 192.168.1.8, for example, then your router is 192.168.1.1 in most cases. To access the web interface navigate your web browser to http://192.168.1.1 receptively. You should be able to disable firewall settings and configure WEP or MAC filtering from within the web interface. Find the PDF documents for your specific WiFi router brand.

http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/wfc/en_na/ds/index.jsp is a pretty good site on fixing connection issues on a number of routers, though it may not be of quite as much help if you can play games.
