I havent played alot of metroid prime games. I played Super Metroid back in the day, and MP1 on gamecube. So far I am really liking 3 the story/missions keep the game moving and there are a good bit of secrets to find, but you dont have to go looking for them to enjoy the game at all.
Fighting/shooting with the wiimote is by far the highlight of the game, and highly addictive. Gun control is what redsteel should've been.

I didn't get dizzy, but at first I thought the game was freakin' broken, as it controlled horribly.

Turns out I was sitting too close to the TV (recently moved, didn't realize the distance would matter)! It works great now, and I actually like the Z-Lock thing, I don't use it for every occasion, but it can be helpful when you've got something far away...lining up the targets right in the middle so that the aim cursor turns red lets you know you got a clear shot.

Would anyone recommend I play MP 1 and 2 on the Gamecube? I never had a chance. Or should I just forget about it, as MP3's controls have already corrupted me?

Forget about 1 and 2 and just go with Prime 3. Prime 3 is basically Prime 1 and 2 with better controls and better graphics.
