Possible to downgrade 1.81 to 1.70?

I use my slot2 for the emus and GBA exclusively....I have a slot1 for DS stuff.

I'm noticing even more slowdowns with 1.81 in GBA games than I had with 1.70.  Is it possible to downgrade safely?  I have the 1.70 firmware file as a .bin file.

I don't wanna brick my SDminiSD, but want to go back to 1.70.  Can I do it?
Current setup:
Onyx DSlite/R4DS/SCminiSD
2gig Transcend card for the SCminiSD
2gig Kingston for the R4DS
4 gigglingbytes of games/apps! WOOT!

You should be able to, yes.  I successfully downgraded my SC MiniSD to 1.7 in order to do the full 1.7->1.80->1.81 upgrade procedure needed to keep the built-in emulators from breaking.

Alrighty, thanks for the quick response.

Confirmed.  It does indeed work fine to downgrade from 1.81 to 1.70.  Slowdowns in GBA games are now less severe than they were in 1.81 and all the emu's still work.
