Songs don't need to be converted.  Load the *.mp3 files directly to your card and play them back with Moonshell.

did any work? Make sure you have the required programs and codecs. You may also want to use the suggested settings. Which version of BatchDPG and what type of video are you editing (.avi, etc..)?

most videos CAN be converted to DPG website media-convert.com can convert just about any format to DPG or any other format for that matter :)

I havd a SuperCard DS One SDHC ... do I need a PassMe if I download the lazy "Moonshell for Supercard DSone" version?  Will that one even work?

Just so you know, the SCDS1 operating system is built on Moonshell. You can actually just put .dpg movies on your memory card and have them work without doing anything. I like to put the games in a games folder and movies in a movies folder to clean it up a bit, but there are many ways and mine is just one of them.

Thanks for your reply.   :)

I am aware of this, but thought I had read that one could put the latest version of Moonshell on the SCDS1 SDHC and perhaps get better results.  I found a few .dpg files but they're not playing and wondering if it's because I don't have the "latest" Moonshell.  :)

I just dl'd the scds1 premade version and put both files into the root dir, and put a movie in my movie folder. Started up the ds and then chose the moonshell_1.71.nds (or whatever it is called) and picked a movie and pressed 'A' and the movie started playing. That is all you have to do. works like a charm. Let me know if you run into any issues.

Hi folks

Noob from Oz here - apologies if this is really old ground.  I purchased a Cyclo DS card to enable media playing via Moonshell.  Can I say upfront that it is working.  I can play mp3's, invoke the menu options (shuffle etc), I have converted a video and played it without problem.  However:

When I install Moonshell 1.7..there's no option in the list of cards on the right hand side for Cyclo DS.  The first time I installed I ended up with many files on the root of micro sd card as they were all ticked by default.  Removed everything (including the moonshl folder on the root), re-installed with only R4 ticked.  When I touch the middle option to start Monnshell it tells me it's not installed.  Fine, I choose the computer on the left, browse to the Moonshell R4 file and away we go.  It starts with errors..many errors tho too fast to see.  I does however fire up and I can play mp3s and video.

Any tips or pointers as to why it's 1/ not starting from the main Cyclo menu and 2/ why all the errors?

Once again apologies if thisis old ground.  I've done as much reading as I can at this stage.

OK, i have added the CycloDS version to the tutorial on first page. Just grab and use that. Should not have any more errors.

On a side note to others, I added the Edge moonshell as well.
