Which modchip for wii and gc backups if own a pal wii?

Looks like wiikey and cyclowiz acording to some online retailers in UK, any negatives known about cyclowiz, wiikey still suffering sounds issues on GC?

Sorry if this keeps coming up, i searched for a while but wanted fresh info as know how quickly these scenes move.

Thanks in advance.

The Wiinja Deluxe is the best chip out. Even though the Wiikey update has been leaked, there is no config disc so any new features of the update can not be turned on or off with out a new config disc. Also if you upgrade there is of course no way to downgrade since the Wiikey team has not released any update not even one to recover your chip if you need to. As far as an official update with offical config disc being soon, well don't hold your breath, those  mofo's have lied for almost 6 months about an update "fixing to be released any day now". Their abunch of liers with no support and they don't care about their customers.

The Wiinja Deluxe does everything the Wiikey can and even what the Wiikey can't like the GC audio fix and generally runs cheaper.

Thanks DevS, Had seen you mention trust issues with wiikey on other topics and was curious if you still held that opinion. Thanks for clarifying. Ill go for Wiinja Deluxe...seem to be more games in the pipeline now and PAL release dates suck, so am keen to get started.

Cheers to you as well kkan, hopefully you'll get that update sooner rather than later.

kkan is not the only one waiting for it  :'(  :knuppel2: BUT, i am happy on how the wiikey is working thus far, as all the GC games my daughter play works. IT is stil f'd up though that the team are a bunch of 'liar, liar, pants on fire'!

There's no difference between them since the update was leaked really. It just needs GCOS or the like to boot other region and that's it.

I would wait a week or two to see what happens with Wiikey's official setup disc. If it comes out and it works as it should, I'd go for Wiikey. If not, go for something else.

Wiikey was good, but no update means no Wave Race.  I am not bitter with Team Wiikey because most of my Cube games work just fine.  I am being very patient with the team on their oft-delayed update.  Probably better to go for the Wiinja Deluxe.  I've heard nothing but good things about it.  It does everything the Wiikey does and has more responsive support (from what I've read).

Question though guys... will my legitimate Eternal Darkness run fine on Wii without the leaked firmware? (Sorry to steer off topic).
