I was wondering the other day when i had to change discs out of my ps3, how long it will be until the PS3 is hacked so i could back up my games to my 320gb hard drvie (plan on upgrading it) .  So i ask you guys do you think that it will ever be hacked and when?  And if it does become hacked, will it have the same features as cfw for psp? Like ripping your own games that you bought and putting them on your HD?

Thanks

Will it, yes, when, who knows. I think it has the least attention of hackers right not. Like the XboX 360 had everyones attention because it was the only next gen console on the market for a whole year, then the Wii got all the attention because it is so popular and sells like hot cakes. Unfortantly I see the PS3 much like the GameCube, not as popular so it gets the least amount of hacking attention. It will be done, but who knows when. To be honest it blows my mind that there is not a dvd drive mod for it yet, but I supposed the fact you would need a blu ray burner which cost around $300 and 1 blu ray disk is still going for about $25, the cost of moding it keeps alot of people from messing with it right now.

Custom firmwares, hard drive access, ect is a ways off.
