hey this is the 1st time tried making a scc file but like i read the tutorial on http://sccheats.co.uk/ and i downloaded everything it said and i converted the txt file to a cht file and that worked but when i convert the cht file to scc the file size is 0kb... i tried opening an already made scc file i downloaded using notepad and theres a bunch of stuff in there and when i opened the 1 i made there was nothing at all. whats going wrong?

make sure there no special characters like %, !, £, $ they cause problems with the conversion

i checked, the filename is just the number of the game and in the file the only symbols that r in there r () @ + and #... is there any other way to make cheats for my supercard?

ok i got the scc file to be created right, i had to put the game id in there =/. im getting the game ids off of codejunkies but im still not sure if im doing this write. im trying to do this with the pokesav editor. so what im doing is im going into the ar code part and saving it as an xml file and then im opening notepad and im copying the code from there and putting it into a new txt file and i save it as the game number, then i change it to cht then to scc then i paste it onto my card. the cheat menu comes up but when i turn on the game and press L and R nothing happens at all . i used the editor and saved my sav file with the edited 1 and that isnt working either... what am i doing wrong? please help

are you using SLOT 2 ??

If yes then you need to add the CODE when you PATCH THE GAME otherwise the game will not see it when starting up

keep your save but repatch the original game adding the cheat code when you right click the game in the patcher menu add the cheat where the cheat selection box is

then patch the rom as normal ....

then add the ouputted patched rom and the SCC file to your game save you kept earlier

i think your making it way more complicated than necessary, i can't really follow you... just use the ready made cheats, follow the link on the front page to ->  http://www.sccheats.co.uk/


also what are you hoping to achieve by pressing 'L and R'  ??

im trying to get pokesav to work with my pokemon pearl game.

I have the same problem, I did everything correctly http://www.sccheats.co.uk/tutorial.htm , I even used the same codes and game from the tutorial, it doesnt work.  I am using a Slot 2 SC and I have also followed these directions http://www.sccheats.co.uk/instructions.htm 100% correctly.  I'm really confused now, none of the cheats that I have made for myself works!
