microSD questions

I've read that Kingston microSD's are the best for the DS ONE. Is this true? Some others say that the Toshiba microSD's are the best. When I refer to "best", I take into account read/write speeds (on PC and in flashcart), if it can play the "special" games like Castlevania: POR, Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam, Asphalt Urban GT 2, etc without lagging or messing up, and lifetime and build.

I've also read that apparently playing .mp3 music files off of a microSD is bad for it? Is this true?

I currently own a DS ONE with a Kingston 1GB from Japan. Should I just stay with the microSD I have now? Will it meet the requirements I have listed above? Or should I upgrade to a 2GB perhaps? There was a post on this board earlier saying that the 1GB Kingston microSD from Japan had a higher write speed that the 2GB?

I also just purchased another 1GB Kingston microSD from a Telus dealer. It says it is "assembled in Japan". Does this mean it's the same as the one that I originally ordered with my DS ONE?

I'm not sure it's necessarily the brand type that matters as much as where it's located.  From what I've heard, either Kingstons or Toshibas will be fine as long as they were made in Japan and not Taiwan.  Your Japanese Kingston 1 GB should be perfect.  I think with 2 GB you need to be more careful about brand, but as I don't have an SCDS myself I haven't looked into it too much, sorry.

If you search around, you will also find that the toshiba, kingston, PNY, eagletec and integral are all the same, all made by toshiba, if it's states japan on it, as for the write speed, the 1Gb and 2GB have very similar speed, but the read speed is like 18-20MB/s for the 2GB, compared to 11MB/s for the 1GB.

but apparently read and write speed isn't so important, rather access times are most important in running games.
