THIS IS FOR Supercard Lite ... I have a black supercard lite (older model when it first came out)

Anyways, out of all the dldi files i have used

dldi_tester.nds only works fully with the sclt.dldi patch - this dldi file has been working for the most part for my homebrews... which i was happy but then recently there were files that i patch and it would not load...

DSorganize (2.8) i patched with the sclt.dldi file - it doesnt work - but if i leave it unpatched it boots up using the scsd drivers... which works for some reason

But mainly i just want to use two new home brews that seem pretty cool

DSAllStar - I patched it with sclt.dldi it doesn't load and freezes.
Phidias - I patched it with sclt.dldi - it doesnt load and freeze
if i do instead not patch it, then it does load but it cannot save the file nor can it paint with brushes at all... (it cannot initialize fat)

There were probably plenty of other home brews that don't work but I just want to get those two above working...

I also tried booting through MoonShell and DSOrganize - DSOrganize tries to DLDI patch it but fails - and Moonshell says its not supported.

yes, i tried the scsd.dldi and scsd_moon.dldi - they both don't work.

Devil_Spawn

sounds to me like the dldi is working fine, but you may be doing something else wrong

what dldi patcher are you using?

liquidnitrogen

I'm using dlditools v1.10 by LiraNuna off of the DLDI page.

I'm patching it with "./dldi sclit <namehomebrew>.nds"

It works with most of the older home brew and about half of the newer home brew - like the new DLDI rom dumper for example (which works great :) ) but some home brew like Phidias and DSAllStar just doesn't seem to load and start.

It would seems strange that it doesn't work with the Linux patcher, unless other patchers have some kind of newer technology?

why dont you try the dldi driver here?

^-- I would but I have the Supercard Lite (Regular) so the Supercard Rumble DLDI wouldn't work - Supercard DS DLDI wouldn't work either.

dantheman

Try Barni's Rumble one anyway, it might work regardless.  Also note that DSOrganize 2.9 has issues with booting on some slot-2 Supercards, while 2.8 should boot fine.

liquidnitrogen

Ok, I tried Barni's DLDI

Phidias - patched and still failed.... sigh

but I wanted to see if the DLDI worked and tested it on the DLDI tester - it worked just as beautifully as the SCLT dldi... but it sadly could not get Phidias to work.

Devil_Spawn

ok, so boot up dsorganise unpatched, then boot homebrew from there, see what happens

liquidnitrogen

1) I don't have a NDS to test it anymore, but I already tried it.

DSOrganize 2.8 tried to boot up - it tries to autopatch but fails to do so
2.9 -same

I tried with the alternative boot methods to no avail.

These are DSOrganize files that are unpatched... amazingly they can still write to the microSD (albeit corrupting some of the FAT which I later fix with mctools1.6) and delete with the supposedly Supercard SD drivers...

2) I guess if I run across a homebrew I can't use, I'll probably give up... ie AmplitudeDS

brujagio

What I do to get homebrew to boot is patch it with the, "Super Card Magic Homebrew Patcher," then if it needs to be patched with DLDI I do that.
My Music

Nearly all of my songs are made with Fruity Loops, except for one where I used Reason. I recommend looking at my ambient stuff, and staying away from old songs, which are pretty crappy.

liquidnitrogen

^-- I tried that, it failed to work.

I wanted to execute DSO 3.0 today

steps i did.

got the .sc.nds patched it with
scsd
scsd_moon
sclt
scrb

it didnt work on ANY of them.

i then got a .nds, patched it with the magic homebrew patcher

did the same steps

they all freeze at the Initializing screen... initializing driver.. with the dancing cow
