Question.
1.I used the M3S/R4 Firmware Exchange as the software i downloaded for my r4 wouldnt even get past the loading screen. Then i downloaded mario 64 ds and other games and tried loading them but they freeze on loading,i tried going to www.r4ds.com and downloadin the latest software/kernel 1.11 to update my firmware but no success all games freeze.

If you have an R4 why do you want M3?

the crossover patch is mainly for M3 users wanting to update their firmware to R4 as R4 updates are usually faster than M3

essentially they are one and the same card apart from the interface and even then not much difference 

suggest formatting your mem card and just installing a clean version of the 1.11 firmware kernel to your mem card and trying again

(note remember you have to unzip the files thats in the kernel zip onto your mem card dont just try copy the zip files over it will not work!)
