A friend wants to sell his Supercard SD to me for a great price... I heard a lot about the problems of this supercard with GBA, but the information was from reviews from 2005/06... I would like to know if something has changed! =D Thanks to everyone! And btw, i'm new here! XD

gba support has only worsened since old reviews, if you are going for gba only, expect 70% compatibility (but not very good games) and the rest have slowdowns, however if its a really good price then i would probably go for it because u will easily get ur money back

Chakan

I'm asking this, because i was looking to buy a EFA-Linker (256mbit), wich runs all gba games smoothly... But it has a small size and doesn't do anything but to play gba games... I was wondering if the problems with SC SD was worth the money... o.o

Chakan, welcome to scdev.

Yeah, IMO, the SC is not too playable for GBA roms, in fact i find the save function horrid. Though i am used to having games saves just like the reak cart are supposed to with an xrom512. If gba is your desire, find one that saves, the same way a real gba cart does. I think EZA or EFA 4 does. There is a post i made asking info about it, but do not have time to look for it right now, search best gba or something similar.

What about the Supercard mini SD? o.o I heard that it is more compatible because it has a battery for saving the games... o.o

The battery only makes it so that you don't have to manually save the file if you are going to play the same game again.  If you play a different game, the SRAM will be cleared and you'll lose your progress since you didn't manually write it to the card.

Personally I use my Flash2Advance Ultra cart for most of my GBA gaming, so I don't have much experience with the GBA side of things on the Supercard.  I do know you can find more info at http://wiki.pocketheaven.com/SupercardGBASlowdowns

if its really cheap, get it, but if you want compatibility, get an M3

Thank you all! =D I just bought a EZ Flash III (2gbit)... And it's great! o.O It saves all games and all kind of saves! XD Danke! o/

Hmm my supercard lite works almost 100% with gameboy advance games, found a few that don't but mostly all games work after patching and no slow down.

Yeah, I just got an EZIV Lite Deluxe. But I'm going to pick up a GBA Micro, so I want a GBA cart for it. And I use my G6 Lite for my SP.

So anyways, I was thinking of getting an EZIV Minisd for the Micro. But these EZIII's look pretty nice. And then there's the ELink that just came out. So I have some decisions to make.

By the way, the 1gbit for the EZIII is actually 512mb right?

Thanks for any info.
Setup:
White Lite
Slot 1: CycloDSx2GB Kingston Japan, Supercard DSOne+1GB Nokia(J), 16G G6 DS Real, 16G DS-Linker, R4x1GB Kingston(J),
Slot 2: G6 Lite
PSP: 3.40 OE-A

Chakan

1gbit = 125mb But ez flash 3 has rom compression... EZ Flash IV is great, but it doesn't have support to RTC(real time clock)...

Really? 125mb? So how big is your 2gbit EZIII?

And how do the game names appear in the menu? Does the EZIII only display internal header name, or does it support long names? Also, does it have real time save?

Lol, thank you for answering my questions. I'm really wanting to get one of these, but they're a little pricey. So I want to make sure that they have what I want before I get one.

Well no expert but wouldn't it then be like this.

1gbit = 128mb
2gbit = 256mb

logical right  ;)

paul

Hey these sorts of storage space are a total joke in todays memory terms! o would be going supercard , Atleast with the SC you can put your own memory in (upto 2 gigs or 2048 mbs ) which is plenty but even then a lot of people want more now.

EDIT: Hmm poster below corrected my silly mistake 125mbs/250mbs  :crazy2: lol i knew that!  :tard:
