Okay thanks the only one I had was admin@tampabaymods.com and I dont think that one will work if his site is down.  So what did happen?  did he tell you or did he just dissapear?

This number used to be displayed on TampaBayMods website . . .

Phone ( 702-237-1492 Monday through Friday , 12PM - 5PM PST )

Michael lives in Las Vegas and I've been to his house to purchase a SC miniSD.  Michael seemed like a smart and honest young man.

There is always a chargeback if push comes to shove.

I actually sent him a reply, the chip itself is write-once, there is no reflashable portion on it. I emailed him and from what he told me he basically needs to POT tweak his gamecube to read backups. In either case my disclaimer on the site says 30 days for any returns, it's been over 3 months now.

Charge back isn't an option as it is well past the amount of time to test the product and send it back for an exchange.

Okay so if thats not an option anymore do you know any way I can get the chip working?  The green light on the chip comes on but if I go to the menu of the chip it shows the menu but its like a vhs tape that is out of tracking it just flickers.  so I dont know what is wrong

DeVS

What kind of dvd are u using in the GameCube. The GameCube is VERY picky when it comes to media that it will read. Are you sure you dont have it in pal mode or something? The flickering like a VHS tape kinda sounds like its in pal video mode on an ntsc tv?

well to get to the modchip menu you dont even need a dvd in the gamecube so I dont know.  Ill try to read the menu and see if it has pal mode set up

Oh, now that I think about it mine was set to PAL by default when I set it up.  If you can get it to NTSC it may fix it.  Good luck.

rocky

Okay Ill try but right now my discs arnt being read so I will have to figure that out because I guess you do need a disc to get the menu.  is their a way to have my tv read pal or a pc or something?

socket

That sucks... I had to adjust the pot on mine.  It was a pain in the ass, but stuff plays now... Make sure you use compatible media, too...

I have a QOOB.  It works great :-/.  Keep searching around.

I happened to notice this when I google'd my phone number. I told him I would exchange it but never heard back from him. Also, from my understanding after he did a POT tweak it started working.
