bought 2 R4ds cards for a friend and set them up for him with the kernel etc

but using the mem card readers that came with them it refused to read the micro SD cards for some reason yet they read fine in my CARD reader?? 

couldnt figure it out for ages then ... I decided to use SAFELY REMOVE HARDWARE from the task bar and noticed that the new card reader was listed as GENSYS or something like that and not the same as my card reader which was listed as a Generic USB MASS STORAGE device


So I using device manager I reinstalled the new card readers and chose to UPDATE drivers and INSTALL from a list or specific location then chose... DONT SEARCH I will choose the driver to install and used the one that was there as default ...USB MASS STORAGE and proceeded with the install ... and guess what ... the card reader sprang too life and could find and use the micro sd
