how do you use the save files that other members uploaded? I got a Pokemon Diamond save but it just makes a new game instead of using the save.

note it has to be in the same save format as you are using most save downloads come with several formats of save eg .sav or .duc 

what flash card do you have?


basically you just need to download the save .. delete your own save and add the new save making sure that the game name and save game name are IDENTICAL

eg..   pokemon diamond.nds for the game and pokemon diamond.sav  for the save game or the game will not use the save

I have an F4 flash card. the save files it makes are .SAV I think. I made a seperate folder and a .nds copy. It made a new game and I could keep my old save. The names were the same both "Copy of 1015 - Pokemon Diamond (E)" I think but it made a second .SAV file.

ah ... maby start the game as normal with the R4 (I assume that F4 is a typo) and make the save game then delete that save game and replace it with your downloaded renamed save file

Just tried that, it doesn't make a new save but it still starts from the very beginning.

gunna guess its a SUPERCARD save to R4

Sorry overlooked that point you need to convert them using DS SAVE TOOL follow my link here for download

just change the language tab to english then convert yer save to R4 

when you have your new save file then rename it to the same name as your game rom as above

Sorry for taking along time to post...

It still doesn't seem to work even when converted, are there any specific options I have to choose when converting?
