I don't have the SDHC version of DS One, but I do use a 4GB CF memory card with my SCCF.

Try formatting your SDHC memory card from the Windows command prompt . . .

(X = SDHC flash drive letter)

FORMAT X: /FS:FAT /V:NDS /Q

Yep, I can confirm this too. It will say you must accept 64kb block size, so just reply "y". Formatting FAT with that switch will allow 4GB cards to work across all Supercards. I recall using a 4GB Transcend model with the original Supercard SD this way. But I do agree, adding Fat32 support has been too long in the waiting here.

I thought it was only the non-standard non-SDHC 4 GB cards that could work that way.  Do SDHC ones actually work if you format them like that?  I was under the impression that the slot-2 Supercards could not accept SDHC at all, even with special formatting.

The only Supercard that can use SDHC memory is DS One SDHC.  My 4GB CF card is not SDHC.  The format trick above is a way to get 4GB storage to be formatted as FAT16. Normally FAT only supports up to 2GB storage. The type of flash memory, harddrive, DiskOnKey, shouldn't make a difference when formatting. I suggested mikeysdevilish try formatting his SDHC memory because it wasn't working with his DS One. I know DS One has had unrelated issues with FAT32 in the past. It's only a suggestion and I don't know if it will help or not. It cant hurt to try.

well i found a way to format to fat 16 but when i go to use the card i get a blank screen. i am going to try a few times more. i dont know if i should sell the card or hope that they make the next update able to use hc cards. i would have bought the sc one but you cant use it to play gba roms so i thought this would be the best way to go. too bad the sc doesnt have a ram upgrade so they all would play. ...but really they should just update it so it works with hc cards thats a problem they could fix on their end .....maybe some lil hack-master out there will fix this and toss it out there for us. idk if any one has any ideas let me know. and thanks alot for writing in

to make sure it is clear i am talking about a "slot2 card" not a dsone

Oh, I thought you had a DS One SDHC.  I guess I didn't read the thread title closely, I was only reading your post. Now I understand what dantheman was getting at. Slot 2 Supercards do not work with SDHC or FAT32.  Purchase a non SDHC 4GB memory card and you should be good.  You will need to use the FAT16 format trick I posted with a 4GB memory card.

I GOT IT TO WORK!!!! AND IT WORKS VERY WELL!!!!
I downloaded a program  HP USB Disk Formate tool
this has given me a lot of truble so please put the word out the supercard slot 2 "can" use hc cards but the card has to be in fat16 and not all programs that formate in fat16 work...... but the one above does! ill try and find the link and repost.........Ikew there was a reason i got the supercard slot 2 ..... now next year when the 32gig cards come out ill be set ....one card to controll them all :)

Are you *positive* it is an SDHC card (should say it on the label) and not just a non-standard 4 GB SD card?  And that all 4 GB are usable for you?  This could be big news, but I want to make sure that we get the facts straight before making a judgment on it.

its a 4gb at 150x speed rapid pro ....i got it from ebay and it said its a sdhc ... but not on the card.. so maybe your right idk

i wish i knew what files i can get rid of and what has to be on the card to work... when i dl the files from the supercard site there are 3 do i need them all and what are they ...in simple terms .. i got moonshell to work but i cant play ds games.... nes and snes are great ...ds games worked b4 but now they wont load i wonder what i did......  and i tried that ds organiser thing it was ok but i couldnt get the browser to work and that was the only reason i wanted it so....  on youtube i see people that have their app files with nice icons.... i havnt any idea about this lol so much to learn  and the directions are  hard to understand. if any one has any tips please do tell. i dont know why there is no where you can get this stuff in a nice neat package bundle  if any ones good at this and has nothing better to do then help me my aim is mikeysdevilish

my question is IS IT A GENUINE SDHC as there are loads of fake memory cards on ebay heres a link that points out some normal SD card fakes and REAL cards here

and theres signs on ebay that theres fake micro and mini sd cards doing the rounds too!

google for "fake micro sd card" theres loads of stuff reporting fakes on ebay  :(

gunna guess its a normal SD card and not a real SDHC card!

It must not be SDHC memory. There is no way SDHC memory works with slot2 Supercards or other electronics designed for use with SD/MMC.  At the very least a firmware upgrade adding SDHC support would be required.

You will have to patch your ROMs again if you are using a different Supercard than before.  Also each slot 2 Supercard has it's own patcher software.  Make sure you are patching ROMs with the latest firmware and patcher software version.
