Hi all. I just have a quick question, sorry if I missed something (I swear I used Search and tried to find an answer!) and am being a total n00b.

Basically, with the Supercard DS ONE, given that there are two games to play - with one I use "patch saver" and "enable reset", and with the other it won't work with those options, so I uncheck them -

Do I have to hit "set patch" in the file info box and set those "set patch" settings for playing a game every time I go to it? It seems like when I change those settings it doesn't change them for just that game, but it changes them globally, which is dumb.

Thanks for any and all help/info you can give, i'll be checking up regularly so if you need any clarification let me know. I have SC OS 3.0 and micro firmware 1.01.

I've owned my Supercard DS ONE for two days, and as far as I know, the settings you are changing are global. I have a similar problem, because when I want to run homebrew games and apps, I want the saver patch off, and switching it becomes a pain.  :P

I totally agree with you. Check out this post:

It tells what everybody wants in the new DSONE firmware/OS update.

You cant set the patcher individualy ,,, but you can set the SAVE size.. set the save sive to homebrews to NONE.. the save files wont be created.. you dont need to worry about the saver patch on homebrews, they inst affected by it..

and if you desable the patch mode you lost the Auto-dldi patch and the softreset

Ah, I see.  :)  That definitely helps.  Cause I still want the soft-reset to work with homebrew. Thanks!

Thank you both for the info. I am not really into homebrew, but that tip will be useful if I ever am. So will the SC team ever add the option to save patch options for each individual file, or will it always be global?

Also, are there any other slot 1 solutions that don't require changing the patch type before each play (assuming you just finished playing a game w/ a different saver/patch type)?

I never change my pathech.. only  Chats and RTS once and while.. and i never had any problem with games.. cards like R4 and Ezflash 5 you dont even have a choise to use Patch or Clean mode.. if a game have a problem. you can run it in clean mode.. for others card you have to wait until a new update

and BlackDStoUS! .. Supercard ONE alread have soft reset for Homebrew.. but some homebrews have diferent sctructure like nesDS that supercard cant patch ..  but DSorganizer, Moonshell and others homebrews works great!
