EDIT: OK.  So it's to get DS' with the new firmware to work with PassMe/FlashMe.  Interesting.

Just saw a link posted on ndshb.com instructing users on how to update their CPLD code.  While that's good and all, does anyone know the benefits?

Yes, you can use the passme2 with the new firmware'd ds's (you know, Ique, red and the many others that require a different passme method)

If passme already works on your ds then there is no reason to update.
