Okay I just bought a GBA Micro 20th anniversary edition.(has not arrived yet)

So is this right, If I buy this:   http://eng.supercard.cn/manual/manual_slot2.htm (first one)

The supercard Mini SD, and an obvious SD card, I will be able to play GBA roms on it? Can I play GB, and GBC games on it? Thanks! Thats all I want it for! Also does the Micro I bought support faceplate's? Where can I buy these faceplate's? I can only find the silver and black.

Thanks!

I just bought a Mini SD card 1gb! Will that be enough? I hope! I was pretty cheap!

You will be able to play GB, GBC, and GBA games, yes.  Just keep in mind that some GBA games will have slowdown due to the Supercard hardware.  Read http://wiki.pocketheaven.com/SupercardGBASlowdowns for more info.

1 GB should be enough, considering that each GBA game ranges from 4 to 32 MB, the majority of which are 8 or 16.

Thank You! So Im all set then right!

I have coming on the way:GameBoyMicro,Mini SD card, and Supercard SD Mini! Anything else I should know/get/do?

Also do you have any Idea about the faceplates? I cant find any ANYWHERE!

As long as you made sure not to get the Rumble version, you should be good to go.  Just make sure you format your miniSD card in FAT16 file format when you get it, and that you upgrade your Supercard's firmware to the latest version.  You need to upgrade in steps, so follow the instructions at http://wiki.pocketheaven.com/Supercard#Upgrading_the_Firmware_and_Patcher to make sure you do it correctly.

No clue about the faceplates, sorry.

For GB and GBC games, you can just put them on the card and launch them directly, saving using the method on the Supercard site's FAQ.  However, if you wish to get rid of the color-changing border, you'll need to manually compile your own *.gba compilations with the updated build of Goomba Color.  Let me know if you want instructions for doing this.

thanks again! Another question lol. What about Snes roms? Do they work? Not a big deal though! And is there any good sites for GBA homebrew? Is there any at all?

There's SNES Advance and Snezziboy, but both run at less than full speed and with no sound.  With speedhacks however, they can get to a fairly playable speed.  If you decide to try them out, let me know, as I'm pretty good with working with those two emulators.  In fact, a couple of hours ago I was speedhacking Mickey Mania so that it would run faster (though sadly it never gets above 50% speed, making it one of the slowest games I've ever worked on).  Getting the speedhacks applied correctly takes a bit of effort though, so again, let me know if you need help with it.  You can always test it out with VBA in the meantime while you wait for your hardware to arrive.

For GBA homebrew, check out the GBA section of DCEmu, GBAdev, PDroms, PocketHeaven, and possibly Emuboards.  There's quite a lot of good GBA homebrew, and you can do a lot of stuff with it.  For instance, while the GBA is too underpowered to decode mp3 files, you can still listen to music by converting the audio files to GSM format and using the GBA GSM Player by Tepples.  You can also use the Meteo program to turn short video clips into *.gba files (5-25 minutes depending on the quality you choose).  You can type notes quickly using DanTE Advance.  You can emulate the NES, SMS, SNES, GB, GBC, and more.  You can play a clone of Lumines for the PSP.  You can view tons of images using GBA JPEG viewer, and if you choose the right settings before adding your files, you can zoom in up to twice the GBA's resolution when viewing them.

There's more of course, but that's probably enough for now, hehe.
