I'm looking for a micro controller that would be programmable.  Hopefully allow a motor to run a certain amount of time and stop?  I found some that said they were programmable in BASIC and they cost $40.  Any cheap ideas?  How hard would it be for me to learn BASIC for a simple start/stop mission?
