and in addition to that, what's a good site for canadians to import new games from? I was brawl and this last delay makes me just wanna pick up the jpn version when it's out.

Hey, a bit of a delay but......

Now that the console is out of guarantee, I have been looking at these options and find that there is something called a WLIP, which simply plugs over the chip on the Wii. With certain mod-chips, there is no need to solder at all, but some others do require the chip to be soldered to some wires. It is both difficult to get hold of and is pretty expensive at about $40 (£20). It also looks pretty flimsy, but what would you expect from Spain ("Una Chapuza" as they would call it- cobbled together).

There appear to be a few negative points though- the wii connet 24 has to be disabled due to potential overheating problems and the genuine version of Brawl will not work with certain chips although the DL/JP version does. The option is to put some sort of ON/OFF switch outside of the console for these instances.

There are new exploits out that allow you to boot homebrew without a mod chip at all, a totally software based hack. It is VERY new and only been out for a week or two, but it should get to the point of being able to boot back up disk at some point.

Is this the Zelda Save exploit that has been talked about?
