NesDS question

Is there any way to disable rewinding in NesDS? To me, it's cheating. And I just can't keep myself from using it, and it sucks. Everytime I die, or don't make that jump, or get hit or something, I hit that L should button, and rewind. And I can't stop myself from doing it. And it's taking all the fun out of the games.

So, do I need to open in a hex editor or something, then take out a line, or disable something? Lol, as you can see I'm pretty clueless on it. So if you guys would happen to know how to do this, I would appreciate knowing.

Thank you.

Could have sworn I saw this in another forum, but oh well.  Just open the NES DS menu and touch the option to disable the L/R buttons.  You'll have to do it each time, but it'll work at least.

Oooh...I didn't even think of that. Lol. Thank you so much dan

Sure it's cheating, but sometimes it sucks when you're playing a game where you're likely to die often, and you get really far, and die because you didn't time your jump right or something like that.
My Music

Nearly all of my songs are made with Fruity Loops, except for one where I used Reason. I recommend looking at my ambient stuff, and staying away from old songs, which are pretty crappy.

It's also the only way to beat Super Mario Forever (also known as Super Mario Frustration or Hardest Mario).

h8uthemost

Wow, those Mario Frustration games look pretty damn hard(looked at the videos). Thanks for bringing them up. I'm gonna have to download them and give them a go.

I'm taking they're .nes files? So they'll work in PocketNES too right?

Thanks.

Yup, it works in both.  In my NES Goodset it was named "Super Mario Forever.nes" if that helps at all.  Keep in mind that it's based off a bad dump of the SMB game, so in order to start in world 1-1 correctly (rather than 0-1) you'll need to hold the NES A button (DS B button) as you press Start.  Minor inconvenience, but useful info nonetheless.

h8uthemost

Yeah, so if I don't hold the button at startup then I'll just go to a water world then?

And what NES Goodset are you talking about?

Right, you go into a never-ending water world, like an underwater castle actually, different from the minus world.  I can't be more specific about the goodset, sorry.

h8uthemost

Yeah, I remember I got a bad dump and the that level started. I was thinking what the hell.

Ok, I'll just search around for this goodset and see if it's anywhere.

Thanks for all the info dan.
